Fabrik Entertainment is a global development and production company helmed by CEO Henrik Bastin, run by Melissa Aouate, and supported by VPs Abbey Morris and Paul Hilborn. Fabrik was created to bring to life character-first programming that crosses genres, platforms, and cultures. Through being a part of Red Arrow Studios, Fabrik extends their reach from a traditional US production company to that of a top-tier financier and distributor both in American and International markets.
In addition to numerous projects in development, most recently Fabrik started pre-production on season five of the hit show BOSCH for Amazon, based on Michael Connelly's bestselling book series and adapted by Eric Overmeyer, with Red Arrow serving as the studio. Season one of HBO Nordic’s 100 CODE will now also air on WGN in 2018.

WHO WE ARE
Henrik Bastin is partner and CEO of Fabrik Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based television development and production company. Under this production banner, Bastin has executive produced several series including Bosch (Amazon), American Odyssey (NBC), The Comedians (FX) and 100 Code (HBO Nordic). Past television credits also include My Generation (ABC), Breakshot (FOX) and Sunny Side (ABC).
Bastin began his career in entertainment when he secured a production assistant position while on sabbatical from his studies in Business Administration at the University of Stockholm. In less than two years later, he founded 2471, the first AVID-based editing facility in Sweden. Bastin went on to establish several companies including 921 AB, a web consulting firm, and Nostromo Sthlm, a leading post-production facility in Sweden.
He also founded STO-CPH, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed television production companies which earned several Kristallen Awards (Swedish Emmy Award ® ) to its name. In 2007, Bastin sold STO-CPH to The Metronome Group and remained as CEO and Creative Director until 2010.
HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT
As the President of Fabrik Entertainment, Melissa Aouate helps to define and execute the company’s creative vision across both development and production. Melissa joined Fabrik in 2014 as the SVP of development and helped to support productions like Bosch and American Odyssey, as well as pilots like Love is a Four Letter Word. She currently oversees the entire slate, including DirecTV’s straight to series comedy, Hit the Road, and the straight to series, Embassy Down, for Viaplay which is set to shoot later this year.
Prior to joining Fabrik, Melissa was a literary agent for ICM Partners where she represented a number of television writers, novelists, and personalities. And before that, Melissa had served as an executive for Robert Zemeckis' production company where she worked on the feature films “Flight” starring Denzel Washington, "Real Steel” starring Hugh Jackman, five of the animated/motion capture films Zemeckis directed, including “Polar Expressl” and “Beowulf,” as well as the Fox Television Studios and Showtime original series “The Borgias” (2011-2013).
VP of DEVELOPMENT
Paul Hilborn is Vice President of Development at Fabrik Entertainment where he has worked on such productions as “Bosch,” “The Killing,” “The Comedians,” “American Odyssey,” “100 Code” and the upcoming series, “Embassy Down.”
Prior to joining Fabrik Entertainment, Paul worked in feature films at Lakeshore Entertainment and Escape Artists.
Paul is also a Blacklist screenwriter whose script “Kings Canyon” has Fabrik Entertainment and Ido and Nora Grossman of Bristol Automotive (“Imitation Game”) attached to produce, and Keith Maitland (“Tower”) attached to direct.
VP of DEVELOPMENT
Abbey Morris is Vice President of Development at Fabrik Entertainment, where she strategically identifies new talent-driven projects and intellectual properties to be produced by the company across cable, streaming, broadcast, and digital platforms.
Abbey joined Fabrik in 2013 to help support development, along with shows in production like "The Killing", "Bosch", "American Odyssey", "Burn Notice", and "The Comedians". She was promoted twice in the past two years along with Paul Hilborn, and now works in tandem with Fabrik's tight-knit executive team to develop and produce their healthy slate of projects.
Prior to Fabrik, Abbey worked in development at Mandeville Television and supported production of the pilot "King John", starring John Leguizamo, for ABC. Before that, Abbey was at The Gotham Group in the company's book-to-film department, where she helped manage their IP library and liaise with a wide variety of literary talent, including an extensive network of authors, book agents, and publishers.
Abbey is a Detroit native and began her career as a producer, writer, and director for Detroit Public Television. During her stint, she won two Michigan Emmy Awards for Best Writing Program and Outstanding Children's Program.
